Well all I can say is that in this crazy hard to trust online world my experience was as good as all the positive reviews I read. 

I spoke with a few different people and all helped me or directed me to someone else who could help me quickly. I think Miguel? was my main contact and he was very kind and patient.

After having sat for months the turning of the key in the ignition turned all my nervousness and suspicion to joy and relief as my 996 roared back to life. A great experience all around.

Set my e c u key fob module down to have it resynced with my keys.They fixed everything in one day and shipped out to me so I'd have it the next day.Couldn't ask for anything any better.

Very honest and straightforward, no hesitations whatsoever, if you need anything taken care of like a module for your car. This is the place to send it to.

The process went exactly as described from start to finish. They assessed my ecu, security module and key in a very timely fashion and promptly made recommendations of service and parts; that I received in writing in no time. Once the order was approved they gave me an estimated completion date and I even complicated things by calling and asking for them to rush the job. Rush charge was absolutely beyond reasonable.

986 Boxster had a few issues including not starting. Sent ECU, Immobilizer and keys off.

Purchased the performance tune as well. Just got everything back and installed. All issues gone and car is more fun now than it's ever been and have owned it for almost 15 yrs!

I’ve used Specialized ECU Repair two different times now, and both times they have exceeded my expectations.

Of course the products and services they offer are amazing, but their customer service is top notch!!

I made a mistake on my end when shipping some items to them, and they were MORE than helpful in making sure things went right. I definitely caused them more work (and probably a headache…haha), but they never once acted like I was an inconvenience. I appreciated that!!

I purchased my dream car, a 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet from a insurance auction. It had water damaged. Needed a replacement rear control module.

My '97 Boxster had an intermittent no start problem. I suspected the DME and/or immobilizer and had the local Porsche dealer verify it with their Porsche diagnostic equipment ($300). They said 98% sure it was DME/Immobilizer, but they could not fix it. Instead of having them find an outside vendor to fix it I took the car back (total of $225 towing). I searched for ECU repair on Google and found two places, one with horrible reviews, the other (Specialized ECU Repair) with good reviews and recommendations on the Porsche forums.
I sent Specialized ECU Repair my DME, Immobilizer, and key. Their fee is $149 for diagnosis. It turned out the Immobilizer needed repair $696, and they shipped it back $29. I received it yesterday, installed the DME and Immobilizer, and the car started immediately. So far no problems.
I recommend this company.
