Warranty Process
When there's an issue with a control unit that we have either sold you or repaired or exchanged for your car, here is how our warranty process works:
Warranty Evaluation and Troubleshooting
Start with troubleshooting. Please use our troubleshooting guide first to rule out issues not related to the engine computer or other control units. Verify fuel pressure, relays, fuses, power and grounds, wiring, and related components.
When to send your unit. If you have checked everything and still suspect a problem with the climate control unit, engine computer, immobilizer system, or any component we serviced, you can send it back for a warranty evaluation.
What we do during a warranty evaluation
- Visual inspection
- Programming verification
- Bench test
- Dynamic test in one of our same-model vehicles
Turnaround time. Because warranty testing is more in depth to ensure the unit leaves with absolutely no fault, the process can take up to 4 weeks.
Possible outcomes
- Defect found and attributable to our work: We will repair the unit at no charge and send it back to you. We stand by our promise to deliver a good product.
- No defect found: We will record a video in our vehicle showing the unit’s performance. We will check for fault codes, communication, remote functions, AC system operation, and more. If we cannot duplicate the issue in our car, the problem is in the vehicle, not the computer. You can then eliminate the computer in your diagnostics and focus on the rest of the system.
Retesting fee
If a unit passes testing a $179 retesting fee applies per unit to cover the full evaluation, including visual inspection, software checks, bench testing, and an in-car test.
We stand by our work and want you to have a flawlessly working product. Our warranty service exists to honor our word and correct any mistake made during repair or reprogramming. Thank you for choosing us. We appreciate your business.
