Airflow locked in one position
The most common symptom. Air remains directed to the footwell, dashboard, or defrost vents and cannot be redirected. -
No defroster operation
Selecting the windshield defrost position produces no change in airflow because the actuator can no longer move the airflow deflector. -
No footwell airflow, only dashboard vents
Selecting footwell mode produces no change because the airflow door remains stuck in its previous position. -
HVAC commands are ignored
The climate control module sends the command, but the airflow direction does not change, which may indicate a failed actuator motor or damaged internal gears.
